Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a high performing individual who has demonstrated strong leadership behaviors, is effective at fostering collaborative relationships, and thrives working in a continuous improvement environment. In this role, those skills will be applied to improve SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) in our investment casting foundry while working alongside the operations leader and other support functions. This role functions with some autonomy as the casting engineer has the technical responsibility of all equiax casting processes .Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDefine and control production processes including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment.Utilizes in-depth knowledge of casting processes, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketUses judgment to propose and execute different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.Identifies and executes capital expenditures.Leads projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field.
