Job Description:The Vice President (VP) of Finance is responsible for leading financial reporting, forecasting, long-range financial planning, capital investments, and growth for Select Health. The VP of Finance will provide sound financial management through planning, coordinating and monitoring financial activities of all of Select Health's lines of business.
The VP is responsible for directing and coordinating the operations of all finance-related departments, executes financial review, due diligence, and coordination of system initiatives, including core growth activities, outreach initiatives, and business development opportunities. The leader oversees annual financial planning activities for Select Health and works closely with other executive leaders to ensure alignment of financial strategies and goals.
This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah and will require regular in-office time. Some travel may be required.
Essential FunctionsLead and oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis for Select Health.Ensure the accuracy, timeliness and compliance of financial statements and regulatory reporting for Select Health.Lead the development and implementation of long-term financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and objectives.Collaborates with senior leadership to integrate financial goals with overall business strategy.Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining the highest level of financial integrity.Partners with Corporate Development and System Finance on financial review, due diligence, and coordination of potential acquisitions, mergers, partnerships, and joint ventures and related financing alternatives and makes recommendations.Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and controls to ensure the integrity and efficiency of financial operations.Provide strategic guidance and support to the CFO and senior leadership team on financial matters, growth opportunities and investments. Develops and maintains financial models, projections, and scenarios to support strategic decision making. Has accountability for generating and documenting the financial components of Board-level or senior management business cases relating to capital and growth.Oversees the capital budget for Select Health, including the financial analysis, review, coordination, reporting, management and tracking of the annual capital budget and major capital projects.Ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of financial data and reporting. Partners with System Finance on integrated financial reporting for Select Health members.Oversees annual operating plan and forecasting activities. Collaborate with finance, accounting, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment and integration of financial plans and processes.Identifies and communicates risks, opportunities, and best practices related to financial planning and analysis.Manage and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvementEstablish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, vendors and partnersSkills

Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, healthcare management, or related field is required. Master's Degree is preferred. (Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.)CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.Demonstrated senior level experience in finance leadership roles preferably in healthcare payer and provider environment.Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry accounting principles, financial reporting standards, tax regulations, insurance regulations and compliance requirements.Demonstrated proficiency in generating a high volume of Board-level reports and presentations that are accurate, professional, and compelling.Proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies, plans and budgets aligned with organizational goals and objectives.Broad experience in leadership role directing major project initiatives and multi-disciplinary teams.Demonstrated success indicating exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and information.Ability to demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization.Demonstrated high degree of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards, with a commitment to Intermountain Health and Select Health's mission and values.Demonstrated success in ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionalsAbility to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applicationsPhysical Requirements

Physical Requirements:
This is an exempt, full-time position with a compensation range of $336,814-379,655 annually and as determined by prior years of relevant experience.
In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in the Annual Pay for Performance (AP4P) Plan. This plan enables Intermountain Health to provide leaders with an additional performance compensation opportunity. The AP4P award opportunities are calculated as a percentage of your base salary. Awards are paid out based on attainment of selected Board-approved goals.
