Overview
We are seeking a full-time
Aviation Systems Engineer 2
for TeamX in our Olathe, KS location. TeamX is a group of passionate pilots and aviation enthusiasts. In this role, you will assist in furthering our mission or bringing disruptive technology to the Experimental/Amateur-Build, Light-Sport, and Part 23 aviation markets by supporting the successful conception, development, and/or application of sophisticated avionics systems.
Essential FunctionsDefines and maintains system architectures and requirementsEstablishes product-specific execution plans for system-level aspects compatible with Garmin processes, including discussions with external customers - individuals and companiesIdentifies and documents technical scope of change in support of small changes to already supported functionality or interfacesIdentifies and resolves defects using proper engineering tools and techniquesPlans and executes integration testing to validate user experience and verify system requirementsProvides technical content for system design and description documentationProactively improves processes, tools, and proceduresBasic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Math, Physics, or related field
AND
a minimum of 1 year relevant experience
OR
an equivalent combination of education and experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0)Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilityExperience with Systems Integration activitiesDemonstrates strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDesired Qualifications
Previous work experience with consumer or aviation products
