Overview

We are seeking a full-time

Senior Aviation Systems Integration & Test Engineer

at our office in Olathe, Kansas to plan and execute hands-on testing of new avionics solutions that delight our customers across aviation market segments. Working in close collaboration with various engineering teams, you will apply your systems integration and test skills to deliver superior systems, products, and services.Essential FunctionsPerform hands-on system testing of new systems, products, and servicesUnderstand and communicate customer expectations across aviation marketsCreate system test plans in coordination with development schedulesDevelop system test procedures to validate user experience and verify system requirementsTroubleshoot integration bench setup issues and investigate problems reported by customersClearly communicate issues observed during testing and recommend solutions to engineering teamsDefine and maintain system architectures and requirementsProactively improve processes, tools, and proceduresExemplify Garmin’s Mission, Vision, Values, and Quality Policy and proactively work to improve Garmin’s image and cultureBasic QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another technical field

AND

a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

OR

an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceExcellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)Demonstrated expert knowledge and troubleshooting skills in one or more of the following technical areas: Systems Integration, System Safety, System RequirementsDemonstrated problem solving abilityDesired QualificationsMaster’s Degree in an Engineering fieldOutstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5)Demonstrated passion for and involvement in the aviation communityOperational knowledge of Garmin or competitive avionicsPrevious work or internship experience with consumer or aviation productsExperience working with consumer or aviation productsGarmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
