Manager of Quality and Safety

With our team of industry experts, we re positioned to serve customers from the initial stages of product conceptualization, through formulation and finally bulk manufacturing.TheManager of Quality and Safetywill act as the primary liaison for comprehensive quality assurance at AMCO Proteins and its sister company American Custom Drying.Job Duties:Ensure compliance with operating conditions, HAACP, Safety, Food Safety, cGMP, and CAPA.Analyze QA and QC data per customer specifications.Manage the end-to-end customer complaint process.Oversee Quality Teams (HACCP, Internal Audit, SQF) and coordinate the environmental program.Handle defect classification and recommend product disposition on non-compliance reports.Supervise plant sanitation and pest control programs.Execute QA procedures, serving as the vital link between the plants and regulatory agencies.Manage audits, facilitate employee training, create/maintain SOPs and SSOPs, and provide effective oversight of Quality Operations.Requirements:Bachelor s degree in food science or a related field.In-depth knowledge of SQF, HACCP, cGMP, PCQI, and regulatory requirements.Minimum of 7 yearsexperience in Quality and Food SafetyKnowledge of organic certification process preferred.Proven experience in a leadership role within quality management, preferably in the food industry.Strong communication and leadership skills.Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
