Description:•Dimensional and visual inspection and interpretation of results as they relate to documented work instructions, type design drawings, or other special requests, using a variety of inspection methods, including CMM, hand gaging, contract/profile equipment, and optical equipment•Development of work instructions related to work performed•Perform CMM programming/troubleshooting/validation of parts without complex geometries and tooling•Train other inspectors to complete repetitive inspections•Continuous improvement of CMM programs and inspection processes for quality improvement and cost reduction, including concerning efficiency and cycle times•Support special projects or requests to support inspection, at the direction of Quality ManagementAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Measuring Machine (CMM) experience, with direct experience using Zeiss equipment with a rotary table preferredProgramming experience with Zeiss Calypso, with experience of Curve and FreeForm, preferredExperience with visual inspection and characterization of surface defectsExperience with common gaging such as: calipers micrometers bore gages height gages,Experience with contract / profile equipment, a plusExperience with projection/comparator, a plusKnowledge of MS Office, with advanced skill level of Word, Excel, and PowerPointUse of prior manufacturing execution systems (such as Solumina), a plusKnowledge of AS9100/FAA quality system requirements, a plusExperience writing procedures, preparing quality plans, work instructions, and conducting internal audits a plusAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
