Job HighlightsThe Quality Control Supervisor, working as a team in coordination with quality technicians and production associates, works to assure quality standards and procedures are met and helps to maintain plant quality, Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP), and production and quality documentation systems.Also reviews quality data to analyze trends for continuous improvement and works as a team with other team members to close gaps.The QC Supervisor will also act as the plant's main point of contact between external auditors, customers, and the corporate quality group about coordinating and championing quality standards and initiatives.Job Summary & RequirementsJob Duties:Prepare and maintain facility for external/internal audits.Acts as site coordinator for adherence and maintenance of the BRC packaging manufacturing standards. Coordinates activities of the BRC standard which includes but not limited to: maintenance of standards, internal and external audits, and quality correction action.Maintain quality testing equipment and calibration as needed.Conduct onsite audits on suspect finished goods and make recommendations on disposition.Assist in developing corrective action plan for defective product received by customer.Manage quality incident reports and maintain records/corrective actions.Coordinates regular Quality and Materials Review Board meeting and follow-up.Audit processing information such as worker and material logs, product processing sheets, inspection and specification sheets, and verify that records adhere to quality assurance specifications.Coordinate training of QC techs and operators to use quality equipment properly to conduct their testing, and how to follow and adhere to quality specifications.Utilize internal quality computer systems to assure operations correct entry of quality data and monitor the data for quality trends.Qualifications:Previous work experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment, preferably with supervisory experience.Formal technical degree preferred.Computer literate. Examples include MS Office Suite and production ERP type systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, etc.).Basic math skills, statistics, and metrology (measurements).Familiarity with disciplined standards such as ISO, QS, BRC, AIB, etc.
