Ford EVDD is responsible for developing the key technologies and capabilities - such as EV platforms, batteries, e-motors, inverters, charging and recycling - to create ground-up, breakthrough electric vehicles. Responsibilities

Develop traction inverter for electric vehicle applications.Design, bring-up, characterize and troubleshoot traction inverter.Trade-off and optimize inverter design for best powertrain performance.Perform complex circuit design analysis, thermal analysis, and control analysis.Hands-on develop circuit schematics and PCB layout.Perform design failure analysis and support functional safety activities.Support design validation and end-of-line tests specifications.Collaborate with mechanical design, software, system, project management, supply chain functions throughout the organization.Qualifications

3+ years of experience in power electronics product developmentFamiliar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modulesIn-depth knowledge of three-phase traction inverterHands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturabilityMS, or PhD in EE.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EMI troubleshootingFamiliar with motor controlExperience with safety-critical automotive hardware developmentFamiliar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.
