Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):$105,200.00 - $195,400.00

At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

Staff ICE6/7 Debug Engineer

Allentown, PA

Responsible for root cause analysis of optical line card failures

This is a high-tech position in a state-of-the-art optical networking company. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a cross functional team of manufacturing, development, field service, reliability, and software engineers to solve complex problems.

Daily responsibilities to include:

Daily monitoring of production failuresLeading Debug team to root cause on failuresReport failure trends and open/closed cases on a weekly basis.Feed failure data back to internal design team and champion design changes when neededEssential Functions / Key Responsibilities

Electrical Debug of a complex PCBA based product.FMA of Electrical / Optical hardware in a manufacturing environmentExperience with hardware testing and PCBA troubleshooting.Experience with database queries and statistical analysis.Process Improvement / EngineeringCreate product troubleshooting guides.Support failure analysis and root cause identification and corrective action implementation of components, sub-systems, and field failures.Author technical reports.Lead other debug engineers and technicians in key projects.Collaborate with customer service to help resolve customer issues.Education / Experience

BS in Engineering (Electrical or other technical degrees considered).Minimum of 5 years' experience debugging electrical circuits.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Strong analytical/critical thinking skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeAbility to work under pressure, organize and prioritize responsibilities.Passion to learn.Experience in Opto / Optical environment a plus!Test engineering experience a plus!
