Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Job Description
Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws, including the Construction Wage Rate Requirements Act (formerly known as the Davis-Bacon Act) and the Service Contract Act. Process certified payroll reports and handle prevailing wage reporting for government-funded projects. Calculate and report monthly union fringe benefits. Work with project managers on jobs/projects to ensure compliance with prevailing wage requirements. Conduct on-cycle and off-cycle payroll processing. Research and resolve payroll tax and wage balance discrepancies through auditing and applicable adjustments. Manage PTO and Oasis reporting and approvals on a weekly basis. Coordinate and process payment for all FMLA claims, including resolution of discrepancies. Communicate payroll and tax policies and procedures to office personnel and employees. Provide accurate and timely paychecks to employees. Process and reconcile garnishments.

3+ years of payroll experience.Experience with prevailing wage is a must.Proficiency in payroll tax management.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with ADP/Ceridian is a huge plus.Ability to work with pivot tables and vlookups.Work Environment
This is an in-office role with flexibility to work from home during inclement weather or family situations. The office is located west of the Twin Cities and provides a pleasant working environment. The new hire will receive one-on-one training with the current Payroll Specialist who is retiring soon. The team includes one other full-time employee and one contractor. The company has 1800 employees, with around 1200 based in the US. The payroll is processed bi-weekly.
