Overview Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to direct and manage all plant operations. This role encompasses overall responsibilities for production, processing, maintenance, sanitation, accounting, materials management, and other requirements necessary for the successful operations of the plant. The Plant Operations Manager ensures quality and safety while achieving established objectives and profitability. Location: Columbus, Ohio Responsibilities Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to achieve manufacturing goals. Develop and control plans, budgets, and profits. Implement cost-effective control systems for capital assets, expenditures, and labor costs. Monitor plant performance for production, quality, and safety standards. Minimize overtime, maintenance costs, downtime, and product rework. Maintain and recommend adjustments for plant facilities and equipment. Ensure compliance with laws and company policies. Provide leadership, development, and coaching to subordinates. Maintain good employee, corporate, and community relations. Ensure proper scheduling, purchasing, accounting, and inventory control. Maintain plant cleanliness, productivity, and maintenance standards. Ensure compliance with quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA, and HACCP programs. Qualifications Proven ability to drive results through key operational metrics. Strong leadership and business management skills. Operational excellence mindset. Knowledge of budgets and financial statements. Experience in manufacturing methods, quality control, and process improvement, preferably in the food industry. BA/BS degree in a related field. Working Conditions Office and manufacturing environment. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, and occasional bending. Exposure to cold, fumes, odors, dust, oil, slippery floors, and electrical risks. Noise level: quiet in office, moderate in plant. Hairnets required in the plant per GMP and safety standards.
