If you do and meet the experience and requirements below please send your resume.The Plant Manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production related activities.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibility and control over plant operations including personnel, logistics, production, maintenance and other commercial activitiesServes as a member of the HACCP and Food Safety TeamCoordinate plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective mannerDevelop and control profits, plans and budgets as well as build and present cases to secure CAPAX expenditures for the coming year as well as measure KPI's, financial justification and contract negotiationsImplement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salariesDevelop a culture of continuous improvement across the business by encouraging participation from the teamsEstablish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standardsControl and minimize labour overtime and repair expense and hold each department accountableMaintain existing plant facilities and equipment; guide for replacement or adjustments to plant facilities or equipment when necessaryProvide direction, development and leadership to managers to accomplish the company goals and objectivesCommunication with Senior Managers to improve future objectives for the plantDevelop initiatives to continuously improve manufacturing process operations and implementation of initiativesWork with management team to ensure teamwork, efficiency and effectivenessReview and approve plans for the control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency, and engineering effectivenessSupervise and manage employees, establishing strong working relationships with other functional managersLiaise with customers on day to day requirementsHealth and Safety in the workplaceOther duties as assigned by ManagerCOMPENTENCIES & QUALIFICATIONSBachelors' Degree in related field or five years plant/general management experience in one of extrusion, film, converting injection molding or blow molding manufacturing environment; partnered with strong leadership skillsDemonstrated understanding of manufacturing operations and maintenance engineeringIndustry experience preferredKnowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, quality systems, and standardsHighly motivated, results orientedGood working knowledge of relevant legislation, including health and safetyStrong analytical and decision-making skillsWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point
