Plant Manager - Full TimeLocation: Shippensburg, PA, 17257Primary Responsibilities:Direct and run optimum daily plant operations to exceed customers' expectationsDirect and manage plant operations for production, quality, and loading of finished product onto the truckDirect and manage routine inventory countsCoordinate plant activities through the planning with shift supervisors to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective mannerDevelop and control production plans and budgets with assistance of operations managerImplement cost effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salariesResponsible for the safe, cost effective and efficient production of the feed mill operationEnsure proper inventory of ingredients for plant useMonitors cost metrics for the feed mill to measure performanceEstablish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standardsControl and minimize production labor overtimeManage the performance of hourly and salaried operations personnelDevelop compliance with standard operating proceduresMaintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary, with capital approval from managementEnsure shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel - be ready for customer tours at any time through proper management of cleanliness and professionalismProvide leadership and training to staff to accomplish the company goals and objectivesResponsible for audit readiness and provide leadership for FSMA and HAACP certification.
