The Oklahoma City Thunder Business Intelligence department is offering an exciting internship opportunity! This role offers learning experiences in various aspects of analytics, including ETL processes, data warehousing, sales optimization, and reporting. You will have the chance to work with data from across the entire organization and contribute to key business decisions.
Spring internships begin January 13, 2025. Our internship program provides practical work experience in a professional environment as well as supplemental program activities such as resume reviews, personal and professional development workshops and other events crafted to enrich the internship experience. We also offer perks such as paid downtown parking and tickets to a home game during the season!
In this role you will:Facilitate data workflow by analyzing, and visualizing data from various departments across the organizationParticipate in various Customer Relationship Management (CRM) efforts including database management, business processes, and campaign managementPerform customer research studies including survey creation and analysisContribute towards a project based on relevant needsUpdate internal reporting on a routine basisMaintain good attendance and punctualityOther duties as assignedWhat you will bring to the role:
Presently enrolled at an accredited university and approved by your school to receive internship creditStudents pursuing a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel requiredExperience with Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, and/or Archtics ticketing system preferredOutstanding analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, outside agencies, and vendorsStrong work ethic with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks, while working collaboratively with others
Additional details:
This is a paid, in-person internship reporting to the Manager of Business Intelligence. The work schedule will be 15-20 hours per week during office hours. The primary work location is the Thunder corporate office located at the Paycom Center in downtown Oklahoma City. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for occasional local travel. Physical requirements include bending and lifting up to approximately 30 pounds.
