UGE develops, owns, and operates community and commercial solar and energy storage projects in the United States. With 15 years of renewables experience, we are on the front lines, working every day to accelerate the transition to clean, reliable energy.
UGE is growing quickly as a full-lifecycle developer (origination through ownership), and is looking to further grow its portfolio of commercial & industrial solar and storage, including behind-the-meter (BTM) projects, through the addition of this proven leader. This talented and motivated individual would join UGE as a Director - C&I Origination, to lead that effort.
The Director will develop and execute a strategy to source and secure C&I solar and storage projects, including behind-the-meter opportunities, that meet UGE's target criteria and can be successfully developed into operational projects. The candidate will establish and grow origination channels, forming relationships with businesses and property owners, building and managing a sales funnel to continue generating new opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategy for originating, qualifying, and closing solar PV projects that meet UGE's target criteriaMeet prospective customers to identify and secure project opportunities, cultivate long-term opportunitiesNegotiate commercial terms and legal agreements with customersIn conjunction with UGE's marketing team, build a lead generation engine to source and qualify leads for behind-the-meter projectsBuild and nurture relationships with referral agents and channel partners to generate additional qualified leads and projectsSkills and Experience:
Substantial experience in commercial & industrial PV sales or business development, including behind-the-meter projects, with a clear track record of closing successful projectsDemonstrated business acumen, including relationship building and negotiatingAbility to analyze information, interpret data, and solve practical problemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writingDetail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize workload and work successfully with other functions in an organizationSelf-starter who is driven to consistently meet and exceed targetsBenefits & Compensation
