Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our organization's local production operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader. Our production facility is a fast-paced environment and the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. In this role you will support the operations leadership team by assuring that the assigned production department is operated in the most profitable and efficient basis through proper utilization of assigned manpower, materials, equipment and space. MAPEI Corporate Video Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the production department, and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervise all production employees and coordinate activities with other functions to insure all operations comply with our QMS procedures and instructions. Review customer orders, inventories, and production capacities to determine quantities and priorities of production to be scheduled Prepare and implement operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities with other unit functions to ensure production and quality of products meet expected standards. Responsible to hire, train, evaluate, assess, reward, discipline, and terminate assigned employees. Prepare and submit timely production reports to the Unit Manager and corporate staff detailing pounds produced, hours worked, and significant situations at the plant. Prepare documents to comply with government regulations, train workers in compliance with QMS, OSHA, and all company policies and regulatory guidelines. Continually and actively work to improve operational efficiencies and product quality in the department. Maintain material inventory and work with other functions to insure this inventory is consistent with good manufacturing practices and can efficiently support scheduled operations. Maintain time, production, utilization, efficiency, quality and other records as directed. Work with the Unit Manager, departmental supervision and/or other management staff functions in any and all duties necessary to insure the safe, consistent, and profitable operation of the facility. Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules and instructions. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications To be successful in this role you should be willing to get your hands dirty a bit. You must be mechanically inclined and have experience in a manufacturing or process type of environment. Requires a four year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience, plus a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Min of high school diploma or equivalent required. You should be proficient and comfortable with computers. Demonstrate proficient oral and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently; and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Forklift experience/certification is a plus.
