Let's work together.Job SummaryIn this critical role as Director, Model Orchestration within the Actuarial Transformation Program, you will be directly responsible for successfully developing and implementing modeling processes onto our Actuarial Technology Platform. This role will lead a cross-functional team of actuaries, actuarial developers, data engineers, and software engineers. Employees in this role qualify for fully remote work, excluding periodic in-person meetings or occasional business travel.Your responsibilities will include overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of actuarial models on our technology platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate actuarial models into broader business strategies and decision-making processes. Ensuring effective management of modeling activities, such as data collection, analysis, and reporting, will be key, while staying updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements to continually refine actuarial practices and integrate with other enterprise actuarial and data teams.Skills and Background You'll NeedActuarial credentials (ASA or FSA)Proven leadership skills, both formal and informal, including team management.Transformation/process improvement experiencePromote professionalism by fostering collaboration with colleagues, taking ownership of results, and applying innovative technical solutions.Ability to work across organizational boundaries, particularly with IT partners.Experience with actuarial modeling systems; preference for GGY Axis.Familiarity with orchestration and low-code tools; preference for Dataiku.Advocate for cross-training and thorough process documentation.Stay informed about technological advancements to ensure our platform remains industry-leading and aligned with best practices.Key Behaviors of a Successful CandidateStrategic Visioning: Uses market data and knowledge of business model to develop new strategies, connect goals to enterprise vision, and identify criteria to measure success.Engaging Hearts & Minds: Empowers teams to form partnerships and motivates them to succeed through collaboration and cohesion. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan.
