ECS is seeking a Manager/Team Lead (HPC) (Senior) to work in our Morgantown, WV office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
ECS is seeking a qualified Manager/Team Lead (HPC) (Senior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
In this position, you will act as a senior consultant in complex or mission critical client requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Develop, modify, and apply computer modeling and programming applications to analyze and solve mathematical and scientific problems affecting system and program performance.Participate in all phases of scientific and engineering projects such as research, design, development, testing, modeling, simulating, training, and documentation.Work on independent tasks (e.g., installation, upgrades, troubleshooting) within a team administering HPC systems.Experience administering Linux operating systems (e.g., RHEL, Debian, Centos, Fedora).Experience scripting (i.e. shell, python, perl) for system administration tasks.Familiarity with the HPC ecosystem (e.g., schedulers, filesystems, compiler licenses) is desirable.Experience with system administration in a clustered environment is desirable.Required Skills:
Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration (MBA), or a related field AND six years of related work experience managing high-performance computing projects.OR
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration, or a related field AND eight years of related work experience managing high-performance computing projects.OR
Ten years of related work experience on managing projects adhering to formalized project management frameworks and high-performance computing.Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract.Must be a US Citizen per contract.Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desired Skills:
Active Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance with the ability to maintain clearance throughout the life of the contract.Two or more years experience supporting US Government customers.Project Management Professional certification.Experience supporting complex government and programs of a research and development nature.ITIL/ITSM V.4 Foundation Certification desirable.An Active Dept. of Energy Clearance is strongly desired.Experience with Service Level Agreements (SLA).Experience working within KCS (Knowledge-Centered Services).
