Job Summary:
The Finance Director will be responsible for managing the financial operations of Austin Catholic High School, ensuring the school's financial health and compliance with all relevant regulations. The role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, accounting, and strategic financial planning in alignment with the mission and values of Austin Catholic High School.
Key Responsibilities : -
1. Financial Management:Develop and manage the school's annual budgetPrepare monthly financial reports for the Finance CommitteeMonitor and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for improvements -2. Accounting and Compliance:
Oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivableEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as diocesan policiesManage the annual audit process and prepare necessary documentation3. Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with the administration to develop long-term financial strategiesAssess financial implications of strategic initiatives and capital projects4. Financial Aid and Tuition Management:
Oversee the financial aid process, including budgeting and distribution of fundsDevelop and manage tuition payment plans, ensuring clarity and accessibility for families5. Communication and Collaboration:
Work closely with the President, Finance Committee, Principal, faculty, staff, and the Board of Trustees to promote financial transparencyServe as a liaison to parents and the community regarding financial mattersQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fieldExperience in financial management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholdersWorking Conditions:
Office environment with occasional evening or weekend hours as needed for school events or board meetingsInteraction with students, parents, staff, and the broader community
