Ascend Elements (AE) is revolutionizing the production of lithium-ion battery materials by establishing a clean and sustainable supply chain using recycled feedstock. We are seeking a Vice President (VP) of Capital Markets to join our team. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll be the primary lead on capital raises, focusing on Series E, Debt Capital Markets with Project Finance emphasis, Limited Partnership Offerings (LPOs), and Initial Public Offerings (IPOs).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.Extensive background as the key point person on capital raises, specifically in Series E, Debt Capital Markets with Project Finance exposure, LPOs, and IPOs.Experience in Specialty Chemicals, Battery Materials, or Engineered Materials sectors preferred.Knowledge of capital markets, financial instruments, and investment strategies.Excellent networking skills within the financial industry with exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.Leadership capabilities, a track record of achieving results, and thrive in a fast-paced setting.Professional certifications like CFA or CPA are a plus.Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic fundraising strategies in the areas of Series E, Debt Capital Markets with Project Finance focus, LPOs, and IPOs.Build and maintain relationships with investors, financial institutions, and stakeholders.Lead the structuring and completion of intricate financial transactions, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines.Direct due diligence processes and supervise capital deployment strategies to optimize returns.Provide expert advice on market trends, risk management, and investment opportunities to senior leaders.Collaborate with executives to support financial objectives and drive growth initiatives.

Candidate must be located or willing to relocate to Boston, Westborough MA, or NYC.
