Executive Director

The Position

We are in search of an experienced and accomplished Executive Director (ED) to guide our organization into the future. Reporting directly and accountable to the Board of Directors, the ED will be responsible for the comprehensive leadership of the organization's day-to-day operations, strategic planning, and financial oversight. We are in pursuit of an individual deeply committed to our core values, eager to contribute significantly to our community and equipped with the necessary expertise and leadership qualities to propel our organization towards fulfilling its mission. The ideal candidate should possess at least eight years of senior/executive level managerial experience, preferably within the nonprofit industry.

About You

You have depth and expertise in collaborating with a Board of Directors, developinginnovative partnerships, committees, and stakeholders.You have implemented strategies to deliver long term financial health for the organization; developed and managed the organizational budget and overseen fundraising strategies and supported fundraising programs.You have demonstrated experience with developing and executing strategic programs, advocacy efforts, and expanding the organization's program presence.You will demonstrate robust decision making abilities and possess superior communication skills to effectively. Engage and represent our organization across various platforms.A Day in the Life

Strategic Leadership:

Foster a culture of engagement, belonging, accountability. Follow through an ongoing staff education and development.Guide the recruitment, supervision and support of staff and volunteers ensuring optimal team performance and fulfillment of organizational goals.Responsible for external relations. Evaluate and approve contracts for services, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and physical responsibility.Plan and facilitate staff training programs to enhance morale. Productivity ensuring these initiatives are aligned with strategic organizational development plans.Resource Development and Fundraising:

Lead the strategic development and oversight of Project VOYCE's annual fundraising plan, ensuring alignment with organizational budgetary goals.Lead major fundraising initiatives and cultivate high level relationships with key donors, foundations and corporate partners. To secure and expand funding sources.Engage the Board of Directors in providing strategic direction and fundraising efforts and grant management responsibilities to the leadership, staff and staff.Oversee the integration of fundraising activities across departments, ensuring cohesive strategies. Communication between the board of directors, staff and external stakeholders.Report to the board of directors on key fundraising outcomes and strategic progress maintaining a high level of. Transparency and accountability.Board Governance:

Partner with the Board of Directors and staff to create the vision and strategy for Project VOYCE.Continue to build strong pipeline of diverse directors, support, board recruitment, orientation and development that fosters transparency and accountability.Regularly inform the Board of Directors of significant external challenges affecting Project VOYCE.Provide monthly reports and participate in Board of Directors and its committee meetings.Community and Public Relations:

Serve as the leading voice and face of Project VOYCE, enhancing its credibility and visibility among underrepresentative communities.Spearhead the development of strategic partnerships with community leaders, funders, and statewide organizations to amplify Project VOYCE's mission and impact.Direct the strategic planning and execution of public relations campaigns, coordinating with the Leadership Staff to ensure the effecitve projection and dissemination of digital content and publications.Fiscal Management:

Oversea Project VOYCE's fiscal integrity by developing and implementing strategies to maintain its short and long term financial health.Guide development and adherence to the annual budget, ensuring it supports strategic objectives and programs.Collaborate with the leadership staff to implement financial strategies effectively. Focus on robust renew generation to support organizational initiatives.Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, providing strategic oversight and collaboration with the leadership staff to fulfill grantor and stakeholder expectations.Policy, Advocacy and Thought Leadership:

Develop and foster relationships with policymakers, candidates, lobbyists, and advocacy partners to strengthen support for Project VOYCE's mission.Participate in coalition meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events to represent Project VOYCE and build strategic partnerships.Prepare and present Project VOYCE's advocacy efforts and policy priorities to internal and external audiences.Manage compliance with state and federal lobbying laws, ensuring transparent and accountable advocacy practices.What You Bring to Us:

A bachelor's degree in social science, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Strong history of non-profit financial management (8 years).Success in developing a shared vision with diverse organizations and a broad range of individuals, and implementing that vision to ensure desired results.Experience working with a Board of Directors (5 years).Confident, articulate, professional speaking abilities and experience. A persuasive speaker in public, media interviews, and to board members and funders around mission, values, and policy.Exceptional interpersonal abilities, outstanding verbal and written communication talents. Ability to articulate and convey ideas effectively and convincingly. Ability to prioritize work and motivate people to action.Able to effectively plan, facilitate, and be present at virtual and in-person meetings, work with speakers, and identify subject-matter experts on relevant topics, trends, and issues.Elevated level of enthusiasm, ethics, flexibility, organization, diplomacy, and humor. Tolerance of ambiguity and appreciation for nuance and differences.Requires sophisticated emotional intelligence and resiliency skills to lead and/or actively participate in advancing Project VOYCE's work relative to racial, social, and economic justice.Who We AreProject VOYCE (Voices of Youth Creating Equity) partners with youth to develop transformative youth leaders who are engaged equitably in their own development and the development of their communities. Application Process:

This is a salaried position based on knowledge, skills, and experience. The salary ranges from $111,000 to $130,000, and the position is eligible to participate in benefits made generally available to employees on the same terms and under the same conditions of eligibility, including but not limited to generous paid time off, 100% medical, dental, and vision insurance, and professional learning development opportunities. Legal Stuff:You will need to be able to sit or stand for six hours per day. While not frequent, you will need to reach for and or move 20 lbs and use your hands to finger handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Mobility to access a wide variety of meeting and work settings. And to perform a variety of tasks that involve standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, bending and twisting, occasionally climbing stairs or using an elevator, possibly reaching chest high and overhead from materials with reasonable accommodation.
