Respiratory Therapist - Akron City Campus

Full-time / 36 hours per week / 3rd shift

Eligible for up to a $10,000 hire on incentive

Summary:Administers a variety of Respiratory Therapy modalities and interventions to patients according to physician order and/or hospital approved policies and protocols based on evidenced based research, guidelines, and algorithms.

Formal Education Required:a. Graduate of an A.M.A. or CoARC approved program for Respiratory Therapists (Registry eligible).

Experience and Training Required:a. Valid Ohio license (RCP) to practice Respiratory Care, granted by the State Medical Board of Ohio.b. Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) orCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) & obtain RRT within 120 days of employment (start date).

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:a. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.b. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Level of Physical Demands:a. Heavy: Exerts 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force continuously to move objects.

$30.01/hr - $36.01/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
