Overview:
i3 has an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division. The TEWD's mission is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through RDT&E of current and future technologies. This Electrical Engineer will develop power distribution circuitry for radio frequency (RF) countermeasure systems.Responsibilities:Contributing team member in the research, design, development, test, and analysis of offboard RF countermeasure systems.Design and test power supplies and power distribution networks.Support integration and verification testing in laboratory and field environments.Generate technical reports documenting design and analysis.
Qualifications:Required:Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.Minimum one (1) year of experience.Experience designing and testing digital or analog circuits.Experience testing power supply circuitry and designing test fixtures for power distribution networks.Experience with AC/DC conversion and DC/DC conversion.Experience simulating circuit components using industry standard tools (LTSpice, Xilinx Power Estimator, etc.).Experience with electronic test equipment.Desired:Masters degree in electrical engineering, physics, or related field.Five (5) years of experience.Experience with printed circuit board layout.Knowledge of different regulator types (linear/switching regulators) and the ability to perform tradeoffs (efficiency, noise, etc.).Knowledge of power management circuitry (PMIC).Experience writing technical reports.Security ClearanceActive DoD Secret.
