Job Description:
We have an opening for a Human Resources Manager on New York City office. A candidate should have 5-7 years of human resources experience. The position provides the opportunity to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
Conduct practice group staff support needs analysis and prepare ADA compliant job descriptions to ensure high-performing, qualified candidates are recruited for open positions.Manage talent acquisition to include conducting interviews and hiring staff members according to best practices.Conduct onboarding for all new office hires and communicate firm policy and procedures for consistent application.Maintain office efficiency by planning for and implementing staff assistance on an ongoing basis.Monitor staff time, attendance, and accruals.Responsible for coaching, mentoring, and documenting all staff performance meetings.Facilitate communication with HR Director on payroll/benefits/leaves of absence matters for all employees.Collaborate with firm managers to implement procedural and policy changes to improve operational efficiency.Qualifications:
College degree in Human Resources or other business-related discipline; or SHRM certification.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Ability to effectively communicate with NM employees and clients.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software.Law firm experience preferred.
