Responsibilities
The Permanent Hybrid Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's financial operations. This includes:
Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accurate reporting of the company's financial performance. Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's strategic goals and objectives. Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations. Overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop and manage budgets. Managing the company's general ledger and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes. Reconciling all accounts and preparing financial statements for review. Using QuickBooks to manage the company's financial transactions and reporting. Providing management accounting information and insights to support decision-making processes. Managing the financial aspects of residential landscaping projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Hybrid Controller position will have:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry. A CPA or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in financial reporting, accounts payable and receivable, audits, budgeting and forecasting, and management accounting. Knowledge and experience with residential landscaping. Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX regulations. Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial software. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues effectively and efficiently.
