The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for 1st shift Electrical Assembly. This position is responsible for the assembly of complex electrical assemblies.
Additionally, Electrical Assembly will:Fabricate electrical and/or mechanical assembliesFollow manufacturing planning for instructions and inspection requirements.Perform wire cutting, stripping, dressing ends and other simple cable operationsSolder wires and other electronic componentsPerform assembly operations or inspection under microscope or other magnifying device as requiredPerform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, arbor pressingAssemble bearings, pistons, O-rings, seals, springs etc. into machined housingsVerify dimensions and or performance using standard measuring instrumentsQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years with the following:
Precision tools, fixture, and measuring equipmentElectrical and mechanical assemblies.Soldering and wire crimping preferred
Ability to understand and assemble parts from manufacturing planning instructionsAbility to perform detailed work requiring fine motor skillsCapable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to height of 25 inches, capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, have a grip strength of at least 50 pounds and be able to reach above shoulder 65 inches above floor level (minimum).Responsible for and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company's Quality PolicyU.S. Citizenship requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
