The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Inspector to join our growing team. The Inspector will perform first piece, tool proof, receiving and final inspection.
This position is for 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm).
Duties will require but not limited to:Performs inspections for first article and production readinessManufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specificationsMaintain accurate and reliable documentationPerform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specificationsVisually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfacesOperation of CMM equipmentEnsure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the CellMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.Adhere to all safety standards and regulationsStrive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED1-2 years' experienceExperience with CMM systems and have familiarity with open DMIS language preferredKnowledge of GD&T and blue print reading is required.Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches).U.S. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
