The Director, People Operations is responsible for effectively developing and managing the activities of Kestra's People Operations function as they relate to Operational Development & Execution, Learning & Development, Total Rewards, Compensation and Benefits, Workforce Planning, Performance Management and Organizational Design. This role also collaborates with the Director, Talent Acquisition & Development in the area of Talent & Succession Planning. As a Director, this individual manages and develops a team of People Operation Partners that support High Performing Teams in overall engagement with their Managers, Team Members, and Kestra's mission. May collaborate with and lead the Business Operations Coordinator in the areas of Team safety, health, and wellness. Acts both as a strategic contributor and hands-on leader within the People Operations Team.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Ensure legal compliance with all applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO. Advise leadership on regulations, policies, and best practices to minimize risk and exposure.Create, execute, and manage Team Operations and Partnership programs that ensure a diverse and inclusive work environment, strengthen team and individual performance, foster high engagement, limit attrition, effectively train and develop Team Members, enrich Kestra's total rewards, support growth and build a best-in-class People Operations function.Partner directly with leadership to take business strategy and transform it into meaningful and executable People initiatives.Provide day-to-day partnership with leadership (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, resources, and training).Complete all required quarterly and annual reporting.Manage HRIS systems and ensure accuracy and completeness of personnel data.Create and present training, onboarding and leadership presentations,Lead, coach, and develop People Operations Partners.Manage and resolve complex Team Member relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations, providing corrective action, when necessary, that is in alignment with the company policy.Manage health and welfare benefit programs including vendor relationships, renewals, annual open enrollment, and compliance.Provide Finance Team reports and metrics of health and welfare benefit programs. Transmit semi-monthly health savings plan data to third-party vendor.Manage Team safety, health, and wellness programs.Manage non-commission compensation program, including compensation analysis, job design and descriptions, and classification. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Team on hiring ranges, equity and compression, and market-related challenges.Manage and continually evolve Kestra's exceptional Team Member onboarding program.Support Women's Council and other ESG Committees at Kestra. Lead Management and Team Operations training programs.Lead Core Voices Engagement survey process including People Operations Partner-facilitated report outs and action plans.Ensure Leaders and Team Members follow Quarterly Goal process.Oversee Individual Development Planning program.Lead Annual Performance Review process.Oversee annual execution of the Kestra Internship Program.Collaborate with CAO/CHRO & General Counsel and Director, Talent Acquisition & Development in talent and succession planning for the organization.Analyze trends and metrics to identify and communicate solutions, programs, and policies across the company.Participate in Annual Operations Planning (AOP), the annual budgeting process, for People Operations, and as support for all functions.COMPETENCIES:

Education/Experience Required:

BA/BS degree15 years minimum of directly related Human Resources/People Operations experience that includes the following:At least 8 years to include employee relations experienceAt least 8 years to include health & welfare administration and complianceAt least 5 years compensation administration8 years minimum direct people management experienceCompensation and benefit managementProficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsComprehensive knowledge and experience with employee regulations.Ability to exercise good judgment in interpreting policies and proceduresExcellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.Skill in effectively creating a sense of trust and respectPREFERRED:

Advanced DegreeCertifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)Experience implementing HRIS/Performance Management SystemsAbility to lead small to large company meetings, including communicating in front of a Team of 5 or more individualsWORK ENVIRONMENT:

Salary: $150,000-$190,000.
