Position Summary Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Material Handler - Shipping 1 is responsible for verifying and maintaining records on incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, supporting the production line through continuous retrieving of material, and staging necessary material at designated locations along the production line. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, loading and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; arranging for the transportation of products. Position Requirements Education, Credentials, Licenses: High school diploma, GED or equivalent. If needed, we will pay and help you obtain your GED! Forklift experience is required (prefer Stand up and Reach Truck experience) Computer skills (ability to navigate/general competency) and RF scanner experience is required 1 year of experience working in a high pace manufacturing or warehouse setting is required. Performance Measures and Standards Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter Load trucks Minimal quality errors and/or mis-shipments Support efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care 14001 (RC14001)/Environment, Health, Safety, & Sustainability (EHS&S) management system Adhere to all Environmental, Health, Safety, Security Requirements covered under Local State and Federal Regulations; Follow all RC14001 guiding principles, policies, procedures and other requirements; Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance to all Local, State and Federal Regulations; Adhere to all DOT, IATA and IMDG hazardous materials or dangerous goods regulations; Other duties as requested.
