Job Overview
Our General Warehouse Worker is a key associate within the warehouse, assisting with non-driving responsibilities including auditing functions, data entry, pallet breakdown, and quality assurance.
A Day In The Life
Repalletize and break down skids, utilizing proper lifting techniques
Consolidate pallets both systematically and physically
Accurately stack and wrap pallets on shipping and receiving docks
Utilize work tablet(s) for auditing and data entry of orders
Follow correct auditing procedures of labeling, stickering, and top sheets
Ensure accurate quantity and materials of outgoing shipments
Provide backup coverage to billing functions during vacation time and absences
Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guideline
Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the facility through the 5s methodology and daily housekeeping
Complete other duties as assigned
What will help you thrive in this role?
Must be 18 years of age by the start of the position
Able to accurately compute basic math (subtraction, addition, multiplication, division)
Demonstrate basic computer and tech skills for utilization of WMS
Working knowledge of Blue Yonder or Red Prairie is preferred
Demonstrate ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands, including overtime
Capable of handling multiple task at once
Able to read and understand English, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral and/or written communications
Physical Requirements
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and waist to floor, at a frequency of 20+ times per hour
Able to walk, hear, see, and have full use of both hands
Able to perform work for a minimum of eight hours in a fast-paced environment
