As the

Senior Staff Accountant , you’ll help create the magic behind the scenes as a part of our Finance division. We are looking for an organized professional with the ability to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions in a fast-paced environment. In this role, excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles are essential to maintain general ledger and analyzing financial reports and forecasts. Our Senior Staff Accountant Will Also

Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivableEnsure accuracy and effectiveness in all our accounting tasksProduce error-free accounting reports and present their resultsAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusSpot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spendingProvide technical support and advice on Management AccountantReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresManage accounting assistants and bookkeepersParticipate in financial standards setting and in forecast processProvide input into department’s goal setting processPrepare financial statements and produce budget according to scheduleAssist with tax audits and tax returnsDirect internal and external audits to ensure compliancePlan, assign, and review staff’s workSupport month-end and year-end close processDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsEnsure compliance with GAAP principlesLiaise with our Financial Manager and Accounting Manager to improve financial proceduresMaintain strict confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive informationOther duties as assignedWhat We’re Looking For

4-8 Years of staff accountant experienceBS degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant fieldRelevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferredProven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief, or senior accountantThorough knowledge of basic accounting proceduresIn-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Familiarity with financial accounting statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Alavara and QuickBooksAdvanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tablesPrevious Experience in Microsoft Power BIWhat Else Can You Expect
