Description:NWP has been engaged in the gasoline retail and C-store businesses since 1991. At present, the Company operates multiple gasoline/C-store locations in Austin, San Antonio, and Houston market. Several of the company locations are co-branded with Quick Serve Restaurants.
NWP is now seeking a Senior Accountant to join our company.
Summary/Objective
The senior accountant position is responsible for serving as a team leader in the accounting department and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.
Requirements:Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus five years of accounting experienceRestaurant or retail industry experience preferredExperience in producing timely period end closing and P& L statementsExperience with general ledger functions and the period end close processHands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Sage 100 and/or Mas 90
