Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Finance Systems, the Lead Analyst, Systems Maintenance is responsible for supporting all areas of the financial systems with a specific focus on the SAP ECC FICO code block, master data and system processes, supporting the Finance organization as a whole. The potential candidate will partner with finance business partners and controllership, in identifying and capturing systems requirements, for code block, master data and process changes, and lead the solution recommendation, development and implementation. The Finance Systems team is a support organization providing multiple aspects of system support, for data requests, technology upgrades, and new business functionality implementation, for the Finance community; the lead analyst will assist the team in maintenance and enhancements of SAP applications on a forward-thinking basis, ensuring compliance with regulatory, audit, and controls framework.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Responsible for supporting SAP accounting Cost Flow model and Master Data design and advise business users on appropriate application of the available SAP functionality to satisfy their business requirementsResponsible for supporting finance business users and controllership to clearly capture new requests for SAP finance code block, master data changes, for end-to-end GAAP / IFRS / FERC reporting and consolidationIncident (Defect) resolution management. Respond timely and appropriately to request tickets raised by individuals or departments asking for assessments of a current situations occurring within the SAP or ancillary systemsProvide governance and oversight for critical finance interfaces, including IDOC and batch process monitoring and resolutionAssist in the monthly close process with a focus on proactively identifying and correcting accounting and system process issues to ensure a smooth and timely closing cycleCoordinate with members in the finance and accounting organization to build strong working relationships and effective communication channels with the key controllership and finance business partner constituentsRespond timely and accurately to data and audit requests raised relative finance systems, and processes;Supports end-user in tracing transactions, and resolving system or module queries; including delivering requisite training to the end user so that they better understand system functionality and data flowsLeads system documentation and reviews compliance requirements to assist with audits, rate cases and regulatory IR/DRsLeads the development of system process flows and controls, with focus on continuous improvement, and refinement of current practices to industry best practice, and SAP standardPartners with Finance users and participate on cross departmental teams on evaluating system enhancements and system maintenance for controls and process compliance for any identified SAP design gaps and desired refinementsPartners with global reporting, and accounting operations teams, business users and key finance members on new requests for SAP process or design changes, to validate and ensure system configurations and enhancements meet compliance standards and mitigates control risksAssists the R2R, EBS, Finance and IT leadership teams with implementations of finance technology projectsLeads third party consultants and contractors, and advises managers and senior leadership as necessaryDevelop a familiarity with electric and gas utility accounting and finance requirements around internal management reporting, external financial reporting and regulatory reporting to continually improve system supportKnowledge and Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree preferred with 10 years in MIS, IT or Finance with increasing responsibility and oversight in Financial SystemsExperience working with large ERP, accounting / finance systems, like SAP ECC, S/4 HANATechnical and functional proficiency in finance and accounting processes, transactions, modules and terminologyStrong hands-on knowledge of standard office productivity tools (MS Office components)Strong problem solving skills, experience reviewing and resolving data discrepanciesEffective collaboration, partnership, communication and project management capabilitiesBasic understanding of Relational Database Management Systems and related data management concepts is requiredBasic understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, FERC, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC regulationsBasic understanding of financial Audit and Controls, and Risk Mitigation processesKnowledge of relevant industry best practices, standards and regulationsEmployee Benefits:At LanceSoft, full-time regular employees who work a minimum of 30 hours a week or more are entitled to the following benefits:
