Job Description:
The Mechanical Assembler performs mechanical assembly of non electrical components.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete assembly of mechanical components in a safe and appropriate mannerMaintain the inventory accuracy of mechanical component and hardwareAssemble and mount mechanical and subassembly components onto structures by following work instructionsPlan and carry out assembly work from drawings, pick lists, and bills of materialsCarry out mechanical assembly - build new, troubleshoot, repair, or modify units.Prioritize work order to meet material delivery datesAll other duties as requested by managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalentTwo years of mechanical assembly experience preferredKnowledge of basic hand tools and some powered equipmentAbility to read tape measureAbility to read a blue printAbility to use hand tools requiring dexterityAbility to communicate with factory supervisor effectivelyMust be able to communicate effectively with factory supervisionWORK ENVIRONMENT:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.Able to climb portable ladderAble to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.
