PAY RATE: $25/hr

The City of Lakewood will be hiring a part-time, on-call snowplow driver/equipment operator.

This position is required to assist in snow and ice control.

The City of Lakewood is currently recruiting variable employees for this position. A variable employee is an at-will employee who works in a seasonal or temporary capacity. Their work schedule is based on business need. This position be a part-time non benefitted position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Incumbent is accountable for all duties of this job and other projects and responsibilities may be added at the City's discretion. Employees must be able to perform the essential duties of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.

The position will be required to be available for night or day shift (12 hour shifts) 7 days a week including weekend and holidays.

Availability is from October1st, through May 15th of each year.

Must be able to be at the Public Works facility within 60 minutes of the call in.

Must be able to pass an extensive background check and DOT physical, including a drug test.

Supervision Received : Supervision from the Street Maintenance Superintendent

Education and Experience

Education:

NoneExperience : Municipal experience is preferred but not required.

Certification/Licenses/Specialized Training

Must have a class B commercial driver's license (state of CO), experience operating front end loaders, tandem and single axle plow trucks with salt spreader.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Must successfully complete and maintain required state or departmental physical standards and certifications.

Pay Range

$14.42-$57.21
