Who You Are:
As the Associate Planner, you will play a key role in developing financial plans and monitoring the performance of sales, inventory, and profit from a top line to category level. You will also be responsible for reporting and recapping your business to cross functional partners and leaders throughout the organization. You will work closely with the buying and digital teams to manage the open-to-buy, analyze seasonal merchandise assortments/strategies with a focus on ecommerce exclusives and key periods such as holiday weekends/segmented promotions. You have strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving skills, are curious, collaborative and an effective communicator that thrives in a rapidly changing environment.
What You'll Do:Create seasonal, monthly, and weekly plans and forecasts for Sales, inventory, markdowns and gross marginBreakout of demand/sales metrics by sub departmentReview total department plans to ensure roll up of sub department are soundLeverage Department KPI nuances to drive messaging and promotional strategy
Initiate and develop actionable analysis to recap business by classification and subclass, partnering with digital teams and merchants to create strategies to drive sales and achieve gross margin profitability for total departmentManage and update monthly open-to-buyRecommend buys/sku count targets based on thorough analysis of retail business prior to each market to achieve increased sales, profitability and sell-thru % by class and department. Prioritizing Key Item Plans for core items/ ecom exclusive layer upsLead quarterly hindsight and planning of segmented promotions/messages/price points to drive events, holidays, and site strategiesWork with allocation to identify Omni channel inventory opportunitiesYou'll Need to Have:
Must have 3-4 yrs experience in Retail Planning, Store Planning and/or AllocationBachelor's DegreeAdvanced Excel SkillsAdvanced Retail MathStrong analytical and creative problem-solving skillsAbility to thrive in an entrepreneurial environmentWe'd Love to See:
