We are looking for Family Medicine/Internists physicians with a passion for serving the underserved. The physicians will work at of our FQHC and Joint Commission approved practices in Philadelphia, PA. Our FQHCs are located in Center City, Northeast Philadelphia, and North Philadelphia.
The Physician will provide primary and/or urgent health care services dependent upon health center location. The Physician will be responsible for collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity in the provision of quality primary care.

Provide primary and urgent care to patients in an FQHC environment in an urban settingCoordinate and provide primary care servicesServe as supervising or collaborating physician to Nurse Practitioners or Physician AssistantsMaintain confidentiality of clinical records in accordance with HIPAA regulationsWork within all state/federal laws and regulations and collaborating physician agreementsMaintain positive relationships with managed care agencies, commercial providers, public and private funders and community organizationsParticipate in quality improvement, regularly scheduled staff meetings, and provider meetingsPerform timely completion of chart notes as delineated within the Open Encounters policyMay cover at other FQHCs within the network in times of absence due to vacation, staff vacancy, etc.Perform other tasks as directedSkills:
Bi-Lingual - Spanish Speaking a plusCompletion of a three-year accredited Medical Residency programBoard certification or eligibility within applied specialtyEligibility for staff privileges to local hospitals associated with the health centerUnderstanding of the principles of community health care and service to special populationsSpanish language skills a plus; cultural competence requiredBasic Life Support certificationAbility to travel between worksites as neededExcellent interpersonal skills, including friendliness, and empathyStrong leadership and communication skills requiredExtensive knowledge of current health care needs and issues of children, adolescents and adults.Ability to collect adequate client data, conduct a physical exam, interpret physical findings and manage or refer patients as conditions or protocols dictateExperience:
5+ years clinical experience.Experience in, ambulatory primary care, community health and/or behavioral health required.Supervisory experience preferred.Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of medicine; currently licensed in the State of PennsylvaniaMD or DO, Board Certification in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine/PediatricsUnrestricted PA licenseDEA licenseSalary
