Stockroom Group Lead
Job Purpose:
The Stockroom Team Lead provides day-today guidance and support to the Stockroom and Production.The Group Lead takes responsibility for the coordination of activities within the assigned areas and ensures a smooth flow of production to meet schedules, ensuring effective use of people and equipment.The Stockroom Lead participates in the group's work by coordinating and advising others and/or by helping out where needed toensure the achievement of expected productivity goals.
Nature of Duties:
Leads a team of stockroom works to ensure daily receiving is completed in a timely mannerAssigns tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performanceKeeping the stockroom organized and manageableTakes accountability for the behavior and performance of the assigned group and/or shift, and provides on-the-job training and monitoring to other team membersPerform cycle counts when needed to ensure accuracy of the inventoryPreparing stockroom kits for customer ordersMaintain stockroom receiving and implement inventory solutions to reduce material lossResolving any issues or discrepancies in a timely manner to ensure orders can be pickedWork overtime as neededMaintain shift reports as neededEnsure stockroom standard operating procedures (SOP) are being enforced and training up to dateConfirm that proper packaging, storage, counts and transfer of material is accurateCommunicate with Buyers and Planners via emailEnsure compliance with safety regulations and protocolsCommunicating with Buyers, Planners and other departments to coordinate the movement of goodsAbilities to stand for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping and stretchingOvertime is a mustEducation and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalentGood written and verbal communication skills in English needed to escalate issues to managers, engineering and other departmentsAbilities to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make decision under pressureExperience with WMS preferred
