Points of Light is a remote-first organization. Any U.S. location in the Eastern or Central time zone in a market with a major airport. Washington, DC preferred.

Position Summary :

The Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships plays a crucial role in supporting Points of Light's corporate fundraising strategy. They drive new business efforts, build and maintain relationships, and help secure funding from key strategic corporations and corporate foundations while working collaboratively across departments. This position supports the organization's operational and programmatic growth, contributing to the success of the mission to ignite a new spirit of service and civic engagement across the world.

Position Functions and Responsibilities include:

Fundraising and Partnership Management

:New Business Pipeline Development:

Collaborate closely with the Senior Director, Corporate Partnerships to lead outreach and cultivation efforts for a business development pipeline of corporations and corporate foundations.Relationship and Portfolio Management:

Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of partners. Secure five to seven figure contributions and develop customized cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship plans for each in a portfolio of $1,000,000 to $2,000,000 annually, inclusive of both new business and renewals.Identification and Cultivation:

Conduct prospect, research and account analysis to develop engagement and growth plans for key strategic partners to establish areas of interest and drive follow-up throughout the cultivation cycle.Proposal Preparation and Negotiation:

Participate in prospect research, outreach, and proposal submission. Develop and collaborate on compelling proposals, presentations, and statements of work to solicit financial support.Stay Informed:

Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of corporate giving interests, staff, and industry trends.Cross-Functional Collaboration

Customized Concepts:

Work cross-functionally to develop innovative, customized concepts for prospective partners. Align a company's business objectives with Points of Light's priorities.Cross-Functional Teams:

Lead cross-functional teams during the cultivation cycle. Partner with other departments (such as Programs and MarCom) to deliver internal project plans, donor reports, and milestones unique to each donor account.Project Facilitation:

Assist or lead the fundraising approach and pipeline development for program/project areas as assigned.Core Kno

wledge, Skills and Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to infuse creativity, innovation and insight into prospect cultivation and proposal development.Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.Demonstrated success driving revenue growth in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Ability to work independently - capable of working on individual assignments for periods of time and making presentations/direct solicitations on behalf of Points of Light.Experience working with various corporate-based divisions including, but not limited to foundations, marketing, CSR and sponsorship divisions.Able to prioritize, multi-task, work efficiently and address a wide variety of considerations.Highly collaborative style; positive attitude; commitment to continuous improvement and strong work ethic grounded in honesty and integrity.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required.At least 5-7 years of experience in or with the intersection of non-profit and corporate cultures or managing and growing corporate partnerships sponsorships, traditional grants and/or cause-related marketingProficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Salesforce or equivalent fundraising/CRM software.Ability and willingness to travel to be expected (up to 30%).Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.A commitment to community engagement, the nonprofit sector and promoting equity in all aspects of the workplace.
