Key Responsibilities:
Independently handle accounting functions, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, collections, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Prepare accurate client invoices based on contract terms.
Process and pay consultant invoices per agreements, budgets, and pay-when-paid terms.
Support project managers with setup and maintenance in project software.
Serve as backup for payroll processing when needed.
Review contracts and project plans to ensure proper fee structures.
Track financial performance, comparing job-to-date costs against budgets and forecasting future labor.
Maintain and share a weekly financial open items list with principals and project managers.
Track financial task completion and provide ad-hoc reports for decision-making.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
2+ years of experience in a professional services or public accounting firm.
Excellent communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
A proactive and collaborative work ethic with a desire for continuous learning.
