As a Forvis Mazars Tax Senior Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team in tax, while providing an unmatched client experience. If you have experience with managing tax advisory services and tax compliance to a diversified client base, with a focus on Nonprofit organizations, this is the position for you!
How you will contribute:Providing tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to tax-exempt organizations with an emphasis on higher education institutions, associations, healthcare entities, social service organizations, and grant-making foundations including private foundationsHelping in developing, building, and managing client relationshipsAssisting in managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staffReviewing returns prepared by tax associates and seniorsEffectively delegating responsibilities to others and monitoring efforts of engagement teamsSuccessfully researching complex tax issues, applying findings to projects, and communicating those findings in writingHaving frequent contact with client personnel at top levels and being able to consistently sell additional services to themHaving a disciplined approach that is reasonably successful in attracting new clients and developing referral sources
We are looking for people with Forward Vision and:
Experience managing multiple client engagementsExcellent client relationship and time management skillsAttention to detail without losing sight of the big pictureExcellent supervisory and time management skillsAbility to work efficiently under pressure and against client deadlinesHigh-level analytical and reasoning skills
Minimum Qualifications:
7 years or more in public accounting or corporate tax department with a minimum of 5 years working in the Nonprofit areaBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA license
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Taxation or Law degreePartnership tax experience
