We are looking for a Sr. Forecasting Analyst to join our Worldwide Capacity Planning team. Our team owns the forecasting models that determine customer service needs. You will be a part of the planning for Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. You will be responsible to drive process improvements, model improvements that will directly impact customer experience.
Here is what you would be doing:
• Forecast customer service contacts for Amazon Shipping and Delivery Support (SDS) vertical within Customer Service, responsible for planning for key events like Prime Day, Cyber Monday etc.
• Analyze existing forecasting model performance and recommend improvements to improve forecast accuracy and reduce manual overlays
• Work with upstream business teams to improve accuracy and mechanisms for inputs that directly impact forecast accuracy and therefore customer experience
• Coordinate with program teams on new initiatives, understand business/customer impact and create forecast to support business/program launches
• Lead discussions with leadership (L7/L8) on planning assumptions, highlight gaps in existing process and suggest mechanisms to improve customer experience
• Analyze forecast variance, dive deep to understand root cause, create bridges for forecast variance and present in business reviews.
• Partner with finance teams on monthly/quarterly financial reporting, to represent business story related to forecast variances

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field
3+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
5+ years of data analysis experience
3+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of driving process improvements experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
