volunteer assignment

We are seeking flexible and hardworking individuals to join our volunteer team as furniture mover volunteers. As a volunteer, you will play a role in helping Whatcom Housing for Northwest Youth Services with the physical aspects of furniture relocation. This role is ideal for those who enjoy physical activity and teamwork.

key responsibilitiesAssist in the loading and unloading of furniture from trucks and vans.Transport furniture within designated areas, ensuring safe handling and careful placement.Retrieving furniture from locations in the greater Bellingham area.Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to complete tasks efficiently.Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent injuries and damage to furniture.Maintain cleanliness and organization of furniture moving equipment and work areas.qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.Reliable and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts.Having access to larger vehicles (vans, trucks, SUVs etc.) and the ability to drive the car.Must be 18 years of age or older.Proof of Washington State Driver's License, driving record, and auto insurance.Requires background checks.Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in furniture moving or related fields
