Description

Care Alliance Health Center is looking to add a dynamic, senior level leader to it's team of professional health care executives. The Chief Operating Officer will work closely with the CEO to implement a strategic vision of service, development and growth.

Job Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for the strategic daily operations of the organization. The position is responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of operational activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization. The COO reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The ideal candidate will have self-assurance, confidence, and experience to see the: "big picture" and purposely drive toward results.

Task Responsibilities:

*Includes but are not limited to:



Operational Policy and Implementation : Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and processes to align with the strategic plans and vision set by the CEO. Ensure successful execution of the CEO's strategy across all levels of operations.



Organizational Culture and Vision : Design and oversee initiatives that promote Care Alliance's culture and vision, ensuring alignment across all departments to maintain a cohesive operational approach.



Leadership in Strategic Initiatives : Lead large-scale organizational projects and initiatives as directed by the CEO, collaborating on the Annual Strategic Plan and accountable for timely revisions and successful implementation.



Oversight of Facilities and Transportation : Direct and oversee the Facilities and Transportation teams, ensuring all facilities are fully operational and meet quality standards that support patient access and satisfaction.



Operational Efficiency and Cost Management : Develop operational strategies to optimize high-quality, cost-effective processes, with accountability for key performance metrics and cost control.



Data and Reporting : Collaborate with the CFO on data analysis and statistical reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all organizational reporting.



Compliance and Risk Management : Ensure all operations meet local, state, and federal regulations, promoting risk mitigation strategies in coordination with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Director of Nursing.



Community Representation : Act as the organization's representative at community events, Board meetings, and other functions in the CEO's absence, supporting positive community engagement initiatives.



Provider Efficiency and Clinic Operations : Partner with the CMO, Director of Nursing, and Director of Quality to enhance provider efficiency, address clinical issues, and continuously improve patient access and quality of care.



Quality and Performance Improvement : Collaborate with the Quality Director to identify and implement improvements in care quality and operational performance, ensuring robust patient and staff risk management.



Staff Leadership and Development : Foster an inclusive and positive work environment, provide strong day-to-day leadership, and maintain an open-door policy for all staff. Conduct performance appraisals and professional development for direct reports, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.



Relationship Management : Build and sustain collaborative relationships with the CEO, executive team, Board, community partners, and business associates to support Care Alliance's mission and strategic objectives.



Confidentiality and Compliance : Uphold and enforce the organization's confidentiality policies, ensuring all sensitive matters are handled in strict compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

Required:

• Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or related discipline.

• Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) plus years of progressively responsible management experience in health care or human service-related organizations.

• Minimum of 3 years FQHC leadership experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, confident public speaker, with the ability to represent the organization at events or with the media.

• Ability to successfully lead, guide and direct a team of professional staff

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects in an enterprising atmosphere that requires passion, vision, resourcefulness, flexibility, tenacity and patience.
