Description

Provides high-level administrative support to the Vice President for Health Affairs and Dean. Facilitates effective business operations, communication strategies, and the execution of special programs and projects.Collaborates with the VP/Dean and senior administrators to coordinate intra-college and university wide programs and projects.Participates in the College of Medicine senior leadership team, managing ongoing and special projects.Oversees and tracks current College of Medicine projects and tasks.Contributes to strategic planning and development efforts aligned with the University of Houston's mission.Supervises office staff, professionals, consultants, and project managers when necessary for various tasks and projects.Acts as a liaison between college personnel and University of Houston units, engaging with executive administrators, community representatives, and donors.Supports the VP /Dean with institutional problem-solving and prepares materials for presentations to various constituencies.Manages communication flow in and out of the VP/Deans office, ensuring consistent messaging to stakeholders.In conjunction with relevant office liaisons, represents the College of Medicine in community and governmental relations on behalf of the VP/Dean and the University.Conducts data analyses and prepares reports to support executive decision-making Partners with University Marketing and relevant offices to coordinate press releases and manage donor and government relations. Builds and maintains collaborative relationships across all organizational levels and works to enhance internal communication. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications

Masters and 5 years experience

Education: Requires application of advanced principles, techniques and theory in a professional discipline or a thorough general business management knowledge. Knowledge of this level is typically obtained through a directly job-related master's degree or equivalent formal training in a recognized field of specialization that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
