Reporting to the Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships, the Assistant Manager of Corporate Partnerships plays a key role in ensuring corporate members and partners have a stellar post-sales experience. While the role will primarily focus on the fulfillment and execution of benefits, deliverables, and activations for corporate members and partners, there will be some prospecting and sales responsibilities. The Assistant Manager will also help manage and develop junior members of the Corporate Partnerships team and work cross-functionally to meet goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in post-sales execution, strong organizational and supervisory skills, and a collaborative approach to fulfilling partner and donor needs in line with the museum's mission and values.
Duties and Responsibilities:Lead the execution of the Corporate Membership program and stewardship while supporting cultivation and renewal efforts.Under the direction of the Associate Director of Corporate Partnerships, meet contractual deliverables for corporate memberships and partnership agreements.Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Corporate Partnerships, hold a small portfolio of select prospects.Support the development and mentoring of team members and provide guidance and feedback. Collaborate with the team to ensure high performance and alignment with departmental goals.Provide sales/renewal support by helping with the production of partnership materials such as custom decks, proposals, research briefings, and wrap reports.Refine the post-sales process to ensure smooth member and partner onboarding including the creation of partnership deal summaries. Help field internal questions and provide clarification on deliverables based on partnership agreements.Contribute to streamlining internal processes, policies, and systems to improve efficiency in partnership activation and overall satisfaction.Commit to maintaining detailed and accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the relationship database, leveraging data to refine business strategies and identify opportunities for growth.Liaise closely with internal departments to garner internal support of corporate partners and initiatives and execute contractual deliverables and activations.Support other Corporate Partnerships, Corporate Membership, Business Development, and Advancement efforts.Stay informed about industry trends and developments with an eye on best practices for improvement of partnership strategies and activation efforts.Qualifications and Requirements:
A college degree required.Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in nonprofit or for-profit partnerships/sponsorships, integrated marketing, business development, and/or fundraising, with a successful track record of working with notable brands and managing complex deals.Minimum of 1-3 years in a supervising or mentoring role.Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and manage detailed information effectively. Provides regular, consistent, and timely updates to management, the team, and partners.Excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.Must work independently, be proactive and flexible, and be able to anticipate needs.Experience in project management, including developing timelines, coordinating activities, and managing deliverables.Intermediate working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with relational databases such as Salesforce.Knowledge of museum operations, event planning, graphic design, and/or film a plus.A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.If hired, we require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless a medical or religious accommodation is needed as determined on a case-by-case basis.
The expected salary for this role is $65,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis.
