The Director of Facilities and Grounds is a full-time, salaried position responsible for overseeing effective operating procedures across the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust's buildings and grounds. The position will lead and manage all facility-related activities (including buildings and grounds maintenance, engineering, capital improvement forecasting, and code compliance) across the Trust's unique real estate portfolio, which includes major performing arts venues, galleries and arts spaces, office and administrative buildings, open spaces, outdoor properties, and dormant properties. The Director of Facilities and Grounds also manages and directs the performance of a team of 10 full-time operating engineers, 1 apprentice operating engineer, as well as interfacing with third-party property management firms and engineering services.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills, and attention to detail. This individual will be resolute yet diplomatic with the flexibility and creativity to find alternative solutions to challenges. Candidates should have 10 years' work experience in comparable positions with at least 3-5 years' experience managing large complex building or construction projects. Prior experience managing a project team is essential. Technical knowledge requirements include familiarity with building maintenance software, HVAC monitoring systems, and reading blueprints. Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements, industry standard safety requirements, and local City and County ordinances, codes and permitting is required.

Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field, or comparable experience, is strongly preferred. The salary range for this position starts at $95,000.
