Job summary:
The position acts in a support role to the Senior Commodities Director for a broad range of tasks required to manage the commodities supply chain. Tasks may include data analysis such as for raw material costs using data in Excel, and creating reports from existing files and creating new files as needed. Data analysis of commodity prices and purchase position. Assist in the preparation of forecasts and commodity coverage for Reily and private label customers. Other general administrative tasks as needed to assist the Senior Director.
Key Responsibilities:Data management for costs, sales, client volumes, budgetInternal communication to receive and supply information to internal colleagues and managersPartnership management with external customers regarding administrative items and issues, such as volumes, pricing, etc.Physical commodity activity including evaluation of coffee and tea productsInternal team communication and coordination with respect to department responsibilities and activitiesQualifications:
Education:
College degree or related experience is important to demonstrate general business skills to be successful in the position.Experience:
The candidate should have a minimum of three to five years' business experience involving accounting, analytical, and administrative experience. This is preferably within a manufacturing environment.Skills:
Strong Excel and office programs experience is required. Good interpersonal or sales experience is important. Problem-solving skills required as well as the ability to work both independently and within a team.Knowledge:
Business experience, especially in commodities or food manufacturing is a plus.Travel:
Limited travel required.
