Summary

The CDL Driver is responsible for the transportation of materials/equipment to and from well-site locations that consist of multiple states. This role is responsible for operating in a manner that will optimize the organization's efficiency and help achieve daily and weekly delivery goals including driving to and from designated locations, verifying loads, maintaining record of duty status according to state and federal regulations, and performing pre-trip and post trip inspections.

Overview of Responsibilities :Drive truck to and from designated destinations.Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather.Inspect truck for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips and submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the end of each trip.Check shipping papers to determine the nature of load and verify for accuracy.Operate equipment in all types of weather and conditions including going forward and backing up long distances, around corners, and in and around very tight areas.May be responsible for unloading materials, equipment, etc. from truck utilizing forklift.Perform simple mathematical calculations, handle receipts, read maps, road signs, maintain record of duty status.Report all accidents, incidents, and highway safety hazards involving drivers or company equipment.Promptly report and delays due to breakdowns, weather or traffic conditions or other emergencies or in the event of irregularities relating to pick-up or delivery of cargo.Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations including driver's record of duty status, mileage records and other records required by law.Perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.Requirements:

Three to five (3-5) years of commercial driving experience, preferred.One to two (1-2) years of commercial driving experience and certification of completing a training program from an accredited commercial driving school.One (1) or more years of experience operating a forklift.Possess and maintain a valid CDL, Class A license.Must have experience hauling oversize and over weight loadsMust have experience operating oilfield winch trucks and trailersMust be willing to stay on the road multiple days at a timeMust be able to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, pull, lift, carry and push equipment/tools required to do the job, weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.Must have the ability to read and write English language.Must have knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems, DOT regulations, inspection, and maintenance practices.Must meet medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation.Must satisfactorily pass a drug test and alcohol test as required by DOT regulation.High school diploma or GED, required.
