Assumes a leading role in the management of WIP inventories: ensuring continuity of supply through the availability of acceptable materials, minimizing waste with first in first out practices, and inventory control by staying within the inventory control band. Will coordinate meetings and communicate with internal customers to ensure supply needs are met and stay on course.Data Analytics will be employed to control material master fields in our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. Evaluation techniques and criteria will be developed and employed for periodic reviews. Corrections/updates to the data in SAP will be made after impact/assessment completion.Hours:
1st shift, Monday – Friday (typical). Work greater than 40 hours per week, weekend, and holiday may be required to support business needs.Position ResponsibilitiesDevelops and prepares the production schedules for the execution of manufacturing of assigned WIP. Assures 100% feasibility for the production schedule (Released materials, resources & capacity availability).Monitor short range schedule adherence to ensure completion of required production orders. Develops reports to analyze and propose corrective actions to deviations to the production schedule.Develops and prepares mid and long-range production plans (4 to 8 months) to evaluate impacts to capacity, ensure plan stability for incoming purchased goods, and inventory controlSupports the management of WIP inventories ensuring their availability for further manufacturing production schedules. Partners with Internal Customers of Materials for Further Manufacturing to support their requirements and schedules.Develop, prepare, and communicate inventory exception reports identifying projected constrained or excessive inventory levels which may impact supply or result in obsolescence.Support and coordinate material changes to ensure accurate demand planning requirements, change initiatives, and compliance.Assists in the coordination and activities involved in new product introductions.Utilization of Operational Excellence Methodologies to identify and improve: product supply, inventory management, resource utilization, and or planning tools.Partners with Manufacturing to ensure Bill of Materials are accurate.Develops analysis techniques for Material Master DataAnalyzes Material Master data for variances to plans and provides feedback for change that will improve ERP system functionality.Develops metrics to highlight and share change impacts and uses metrics to develop best practice solutions.Education and ExperiencePreferred of bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, or related disciplines applicable to Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or Vaccine and Pharmaceutical ManufacturingMinimum 5 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Materials Management, and/or Marketing.Multi-lingual preferredTechnical Skills and Competencies RequiredStrong knowledge and practical experience of production, inventory and planning systems currently deployed in Zoetis including but not confined to SAP, MRP, Business Objects, AeraStrong knowledge and practical experience in utilizing analytical tools, spreadsheets, and databases to develop reports for strategic planning and communication.Proven ability to lead, synchronize and motivate colleagues to meet short- and long-term objectives.Ability to conceptualize, analyze and implement new methodologies in support of improving inventory management and business alignment.Demonstrated ability to function and influence in a team matrix environment and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Demonstrated understanding of Right First Time and Lean Manufacturing concepts and principles preferredAPICS training preferredPhysical Position RequirementThe work conditions for the position are greater than 50% stationary with periodic standing and walking throughout the workday(s).
